The Math End of Course Testing went smoothly on January 29 and January 31. As usual, some students felt good about it while others were discouraged. If students are in the Class of 2013 or the Class of 2014 they are required to pass at least one Math End of Course Exam. The Class of 2015 and beyond are required to pass two Math End of Course Exams.
I attended the Washington Association of Learning Alternatives Conference for Administrators and picked up several little tidbits but mostly we have already made the significant changes that were required. I will continue to monitor alternative education.
The new teacher evaluation training this past month has helped me better understand the procedure and methods required by the state. After the two day training I reported out to the other administrators all my notes from the conference. My hope is to be a resource for others as we journey down this path. February 5-6 is a training at the ESD in which all the administrative staff will be attending.
