On Tuesday, March 2nd the Washington State Auditor's office team held an exit conference to review the just-completed financial audit of Woodland Public Schools. The audit covered the 2019-2020 fiscal year and included a specialized audit of a selected federally funded program, Food Services.
Attached is the Final Audit Report.
In summary, the auditor found no material deficiencies or weaknesses in the financial reports.
The written audit report is by nature, pretty sterile and bereft of deserved plaudits. In the exit conference, however, the audit team did offer clear praise for the quality work of the business office, and specifically by Stacy Brown. Under Stacy's leadership as the CFO of Woodland Public Schools, we have had consistently clean and high-quality audits. The Woodland Schools Community is fortunate to have her leadership in this area.
