RE: Yale Elementary Board Report

1) School Improvement Plan 

The Yale team remains deeply invested in finding pathways for each child to be successful in the classroom.   They organize their day to allow students to work in small groups on targeted improvement.   On Friday of last week the team worked together reviewing student progress and communicating success and challenges with parents.   In addition, they focused on setting growth goals for each student and group of students to continue their targeted work with students.

2)  Recognition 

• Yale is a unique school in our district insofar as they are somewhat isolated from youth opportunities that exist downriver.    Kudos to the PTSA team who are deeply committed to providing ongoing opportunities for kids to remain engaged.   In the late fall, they organized a successful fall carnival, they are working on family movie nights, and run an open gym for kids each week.
