Re: Teaching & Learning

The Washington State Office of Superintendent has created new State Report Card as a result of the requirements under the Every Student Succeeds Act. The new requirements include that it is “presented in an understandable and uniform format that is developed in consultation with parents and, to the extent practicable, in a language parents can understand.”

We received access to the new website on December 3 so we could preview it.  Below are some samples of how the data will be shared.  Attached are additional samples of the website.  On December 17, the state will make the new re-designed report card website public.  In January, OSPI plans to update the report card again to include data from WA-Kids, discipline data, CTE information, the ability to compare schools, and the ability to translate school profiles.

Below are some samples of how the educator equity data, finance, and achievement data will be presented per school. As I have explored the data they will use to create these charts for Woodland, I noticed some information is still missing. I believe this is because some reports are reporting data over a three year time period.  Since a few of our schools have reconfigured, they do not have three years of data collected to display. We should know more when the web page is public later this month.
