RE: North Fork Elementary School Update

• On March 2nd North Fork welcomed special readers to visit classrooms and read to students. The Kiwanis also visited and brought every 1st grader a Dr.Seuss hat and book to take home. It was a special day to celebrate the gift of reading!
• On Friday, March 4th our students had our monthly PBIS assembly. Students were recognized for demonstrating kindness, having perfect attendance, and also earning Accelerated Reader points. The students met Mrs. Pearl’s challenge of reaching 3500 points and earned over 394 points in one week. Even our first graders contributed, and earned points for their reading. 
• Coffee and Conversation with parents was on March 1st. Parents are looking forward to the mask mandate being removed and said they were working on helping their students be kind to those who choose to continue wearing masks.
• PTSA was held on March 3rd. Our parents have been so supportive financially and in encouraging words to administrators this year. Funds earned will be going to our Woodland Reads program in purchasing books for each family to participate. Woodland Reads will begin after spring break.
